Course overview
Acceleration can take many forms, and finding the right approach can make a meaningful difference for gifted learners. In this session, Jill Williford Wurman will explore what acceleration can look like in practice, from subject and content acceleration to grade-level changes and other individualized approaches. Participants will consider how acceleration can be thoughtfully matched to a student’s strengths, readiness, and needs and leave with a broader understanding of the possibilities for providing appropriate academic challenge to gifted learners.
